Watching Your Serving Size
Tip One: Visualise what a true serving is.
You can do this by relating the portion size of one serving to everyday items or objects.
- A serving of fruit should be the size of the palm of your hand.
- A serving of meat the size of a pack of cards.
- A serving of cheese the size of a packet of matches.
Tip Two: Eat smaller portions.
- When eating out order the regular sized meal, not the upsized.
- At home try eating off a smaller plate.
