These pancakes make a tasty wholegrain start to the day
½ cup white flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 tablespoons sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
¾ cup rolled oats
1 egg
¾ cup dairy milk or Sanitarium So Good soymilk
2 tablespoons margarine, melted
Extra margarine for cooking
1. Sift flour, baking powder, sugar and salt into a mixing bowl and mix in rolled oats. Make a well in the centre of dry ingredients
2. Mix egg, soymilk and margarine together. Pour into well and stir gently to combine ingredients.
3. Place ¼ cup of mixture in a moderately hot non-stick frypan. Cook until bubbles form, then turn and for for a further 1-2 minutes.
4. Serve with maple syrup and fruit.
